Cumbrian business Ast Transport Branding, has announced that it is embarking on a recruitment drive to find additional apprentices.
The Penrith company, which is one of the UK’s leading specialists in transport branding, currently employs six apprentices in total. Apprentices Nathan, Dan, Tim and Jack are all based in the Production Department, while Liam and Josh work as part of the Fitting Team.
Nathan, Dan and Tim have just achieved their NVQ level 2 Certificate in Digital Signmaking. Jack, Liam and Josh are expected to qualify soon. Nathan and Dan are now furthering their studies and are working towards their NVQ level 3 in Digital Signmaking.
Ast Transport Branding has worked closely with Walsall College since 2013 to provide their apprentices with a nationally recognised qualification, as well as practical hands-on experience.
Mark Aston, Managing Director of Ast Transport Branding said: “Our apprentices have surpassed our hopes and have progressed very quickly in a short space of time. They are now an intrinsic and very valuable part of our team and have had such an impact that we are looking for further apprenticeship recruits. Apprenticeships are beneficial for both the employer and the employee and are a great way to introduce new talent to our industry.”
