A Penrith-based branding business has won a three year contract with UK Power Networks.
The contract, which is worth six figures per year, will see Ast Transport Branding supplying bespoke livery, which will be designed by Ast and manufactured at the headquarters in Penrith for all 3,000 UK Power Networks vehicles.
The vehicles will largely be used by across London, the South East and East of England
Stuart Day, sales director for Ast Transport Branding, said: “This is a really exciting contract to win as we were up against some really stiff competition.
“A contract of this size is of great benefit to the company, plus adds significantly to the thousand of vehicles we provide livery for on Britain’s roads each year.”
This is the most recent contract win for Ast Transport Branding after it also procured a contract for supplying livery to 2,500 vehicles for Electricity North West.
Ast Transport Branding, which was established in 2003, has quickly become one of the UK’s leading specialist fleet and rail branding businesses with offices and fitting facilities in Penrith and Workington as well as Glasgow, Widnes, London and Bracknell.
The company grew by over 40 per cent last year to a turnover of £6.3m, it employs 55 full time staff and it is moving into our new purpose built premises next month.
Ast has previously worked with Tesco, Eddie Stobart, Royal Mail, Scotrail, Direct Rail Services, Speedy Hire, HSS Hire and Malcolm Group.
