The spectacular 15-bedroomed Cumbrian castle famous for its lavish dining and legendary dinner parties has picked up another hotel industry award.
Augill Castle, near Kirkby Stephen, has been named Editor's Choice Family Hotel by the Good Hotel Guide.
Last year Augill was one of just ten hotels to win the Guide's coveted César Award - named after celebrated Swiss hotelier César Ritz,
In the past it has won plaudits from the Good Hotel Guide for its wedding and family events as well as its green hospitality credentials.
Simon and Wendy Bennett, who run Augill Castle, have now been invited to the Good Hotel Guide’s prestigious Editor’s Choice 2018 awards ceremony, at the Independent Hotel Show in London's Olympia in London on October 17.
Simon said: “We were thrilled to feature in the Good Hotel Guide again this year. To be the recipient of an Editor’s Choice award is fantastic and we’re all so pleased that Augill has once again been recognised for our unique family offering.”
