Helping Businesses Go Green

There is support available for businesses to go green and reduce their environmental impact.

The Westmorland and Furness Green Enterprise Hub

The Westmorland and Furness Green Enterprise Hub, a resource centre aimed at assisting businesses and social enterprises in planning forWestmorland and Furness Green Enterprise Hub a more sustainable future, has been launched.

The hub offers initial guidance about potential ways to reduce carbon footprints and on the various free and subsidised assistance options that would be most helpful to them.

Led by Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) as part of an innovative delivery partnership, the Green Enterprise Hub has received financial backing worth £571,359 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Greening Eden Businesses

Greening Eden Businesses will support local businesses to reduce their carbon emissions, and save money at the same time.

Alongside Cumbria Business Environment Network (CBEN) Partnership, we will engage firms in sustainability. This is a 39-month project, running from February 2021.

The project will support local businesses while championing our environment.
