Digital Business Breakfast for Tourism Businesses
Tourism businesses in Cumbria will have the opportunity to hear from a range of experts at a free breakfast event taking place in November.
The event has been designed to demonstrate how and why digital marketing can transform the local travel industry at every level; from designing digital promotion strategies to engage new audiences, to vital operational issues like implementing a streamlined online booking system.
Organised by business magazine and website in-Cumbria in conjunction with digital marketing and IT firm, Commendium, the Digital Business Breakfast will take place on 27 November at The Rheged Centre near Penrith.
Speakers at the event include Tazeem Abbas - the newest executive member of Cumbria Tourism and owner of the Tranquil Otter, Paul Cretney - the man heading up BT’s superfast broadband roll-out, and Commendium’s Allan Lytollis.
Tom Little, in-Cumbria digital journalist organising the event, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Cumbria’s tourist attractions, travel companies and hoteliers to discover how they can grow by devising not only thorough but exciting digital strategies.
“We’ve got some very interesting speakers lined-up to take part, so keep an eye on the in-Cumbria website for more announcements.”
The in-Cumbria digital business breakfast in association with Commendium will take place Friday November 27th at The Rheged Centre from 8am-10:30am. Please contact Tom Little at [email protected] or on 01228 612754 to book places.
