Vita peer network support

Lesley Robinson, Business Support Manager, Cumbria Chamber is Commerce is really pleased to be able to offer vital peer network support. “We’ve seen over the years the real benefit business owners/senior managers get from attending peer networks. It’s often hard to sell the benefits but the breadth of topics covered and the positive impact of the networks means we couldn’t let them just end when BEIS withdrew funding. When joining a peer network the only thing we ask is a commitment to all five sessions”.

So why should I join a peer network?

Lesley added: “Not just another networking group, peer networks are a trusted and confidential arena, allowing participants to share business experiences, challenges, issues and successes, learn from and bounce ideas off each other, share best practice and ultimately have a direct impact on their businesses. Allowing you time away from the business to focus on where you are now and where you want to be, you’ll be amazed at the wide range of content covered and the best part is it’s all participant led!

“Previous peer networks have covered for example: business growth/stagnation, SME tendering, risk taking, entrepreneurship, re-establishing a business with limited funds, staff recruitment/turnover/retention, apprenticeships, ageing workforce / succession / skills gap, business seasonality, building a business model, managing different leadership styles & ideas, business planning, goal setting, moving from being operational to more strategic, maintaining focus, letting go, self-promotion, strategic & financial planning, change in local economy, post Covid business processes, technology – what could be implemented?, time management, staff management……..”
