Eden Apprenticeship Scheme
We are offering businesses financial support to take on apprentices within Eden. You can find out more about how to be a part of this scheme below.
As an employer how much do I get?
You will be offered a grant of up to £2,000 toward wage costs for each new Apprenticeship.
The grant comes in addition to the Government’s apprenticeship incentive scheme, which will continue until January 2022. The national scheme provides a payment of £3,000 for every apprentice that a business hires. To qualify for this payment apprentices must have commenced employment by 31 January 2022 and have started their training programme on or before 31 March 2022. Applications for the national scheme close 15th May 2022.
Which businesses will be funded?
The funding is limited, so the priority will be on those businesses that can offer a good chance for the Apprentice to become a permanent member of the team.
The business must be located in Eden district.
Businesses employing fewer than 250 employees are eligible for this funding, although smaller businesses may take priority.
