Success stories throughout Eden, Cumbria

Nuclear related investments planned for Cumbria’s West Coast are forecast to be in the Order of £90bn. The annual budget of the Nuclear Development Authority for Sellafield alone is £1.8bn. There are also plans for enormous investment in three to four new nuclear power stations and major associated infrastructure.

These are not just construction projects but will offer the input of a large range of activities including manufacturing, technology, professional business and personal services. Much of this will be provided by primary and secondary suppliers bringing key resource in from other locations as and when necessary to complement locally recruited employees.

Penrith and Eden is strategically located at the junction of A66 access point to West Cumbria and the east of the country. The M6 motorway and West Coast Railway Line provide transport and logistic links back to specialist resources at corporate headquarters in other parts of the country.

Eden’s businesses and local communities have welcomed a range of renewable energy technologies to help them offset rising energy costs and to protect the environment. There is scope for the roll out of more renewable energy technologies throughout the area.

Eden is a great place to inspire and motivate you to achieve your maximum potential in life. Stuart Lancaster, Former Head Coach for the England Rugby Football Union
