16 to 19 Education Travel Bursary Fund

The 16 to 19 Travel Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students and apprentices with the cost of transport so they can remain in education and training.

Who can apply

If you are a young person aged 16 to 19 and you are finding it difficult to pay for transport to your school, college or education provider you can apply.

The grant is open to all students who live in the Westmorland and Furness and have to pay for transport. 

The bursary will work on a sliding scale, dependent on how far away you live from your place of education.

How to apply

You will be able to apply online via the Westmorland and Furness website from 24 August 2023.
