Genesis Homes unveiled its £43.5m plan to build 300 homes, including a development in Hackthorpe.
Genesis Home unveils plan to invest £43.5m into Cumbria, with the target of building nearly 300 new homes.
Penrith-based house developer, Genesis Homes, has announced that they are to invest £43.5m into the local economy; with the target of building nearly 300 new homes in some of Cumbria's most sought-after towns and villages.
The substantial investment will allow the organisation to deliver a further five new sites across Cumbria, including one in Hackthorpe.
As well as the investment in these new housing schemes, the new developments could create 360 sub-contractor roles in the area.

The investment announcement is a big boost for Cumbria and highlights the positivity of the wider construction industry. Genesis Homes confirmed that they are experiencing a strong level of interest in its existing sites; illustrated through the recently launched ‘Sanders Brow’ scheme at Armathwaite in Eden, which is already more than a third sold.

The locations across Cumbria of three of the five sites have been announced, with developments set to take place in Hackthorpe in the Eden District, Rheda in West Cumbria and Etterby near Carlisle.
