Cumbria Home From Home Fund: Helping Local Communities Thrive

The Cumbria Home from Home Fund is a simple way for holiday and second homeowners in the Lake District and Cumbria to give back and make a difference to local communities and the most vulnerable people who live here. The fund has been developed by Cumbria Community Foundation in partnership with self-catering agents and holiday homeowners operating in the county, and funds raised will help specific community projects in and around the Lake District and rural Cumbria.

Supporters of the Cumbria Home from Home Fund automatically become a member of the Cumbria Club and receive a logo to use in marketing and a window sticker to highlight the contribution being made to the local community. A PR and digital campaign will highlight the benefits of this fund so that the local community know that holiday homeowners are doing their bit to help those most in need in their communities.

We would love you to become a supporter by making a donation to the fund. For those who can, we are asking you to donate the equivalent of one week’s rent – you pick the week to donate, or donate the equivalent if your property is not rented out – and if you can, we suggest a minimum donation of £500 per year.
