Eden District Council sponsors the 2022 ‘Taste of Cumbria’ Cumbria Tourism Award

Eden District Council is this year sponsoring the ‘Taste of Cumbria’ award at the 2022 Cumbria Tourism Awards.

Taking place on Wednesday 6th July at the Best Western Castle Green Hotel in Kendal, the annual awards celebrate and recognise exceptional quality across a diverse range of tourism businesses.

The Taste of Cumbria award is for food service businesses within the tourism industry, including restaurants, hotel restaurants, cafes, tea rooms, coffee shops and bistros, that offer food, beverage and service innovation and excellence. 

Cllr Mary Robinson, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Economy and Enterprise at Eden District Council said ‘We are delighted to support the Cumbria Tourism awards this year by sponsoring the Taste of Cumbria Award.  Food is a vital element of the tourism offer and we are very lucky in Eden to have such a fantastic range of places to eat and drink plus some wonderful suppliers of locally sourced produce. 

We have recently launched our Inspiring Eden Economic Prospectus which aims to support local businesses and drive economic prosperity in the area - of which the visitor economy plays a vital role.’
