New Changing Places facilities now open

Last week saw the official opening of two new Changing Places facilities. Westmorland Family held a celebration event at Tebay Services to mark the opening of the Changing Places at Tebay Services and Rheged. These projects have been a partnership between Westmorland Family, MDUK and Westmorland and Furness Council.

Representatives from Westmorland Family, MDUK, Eden Tourism Network and Westmorland and Furness Council came together to celebrate. Sarah Dunning OBE DL welcomed attendees.  Cllr Will Clark gave a speech where he shared his personal journey and his experience of Changing Places.

These new Changing Places toilet facliities will enable disabled people to enjoy their time in our beautiful area with dignity. They send out the message that everyone is welcome here for a day out or a holiday.
